Abstract:
The aim of the study was the analysis the energy expenditures incurred in the production of sorghum silage. Data wasobtained from card`s technological developed for the model farms producing crops for energy purposes. They were developed for farms located in 5 macro-regions. The analysis showed that the lowest energy consumption was characterized by the production of farms with an area of 130 ha, both per hectare and per ton of silage obtained. In case of regional analysis, it was found that the main determinant of energy expenditure were obtained yields. Regions obtaining the highest yields of sorghum had the highest energy inputs per 1 ha of crops, but the lowest energy consumption per ton of silage obtained.
