Abstract:
This study evaluates the level of sustainable development in 66 subregions in Poland. Research was carried out based on the so-called Hellwig’s development method, which enabled the construction of a synthetic measure of sustainable development. It is based on indicators related to social, environmental and economic governance. Group I, showing the highest level of sustainable development, comprised subregions: legnicko-głogowski, przemyski, bialski, city Wrocław, nowosądecki, krośnieński, city Szczecin, białostocki, warszawski wschodni, łomżyński.
