Abstract:
The study analyzes the economic cultivation of soybean and winter rapeseed in three animal experimental farms, located in the western and warmer belt of Poland. The study involved two different growing seasons, that is 2014 with relatively high rainfall and 2015, characterized by water shortages. Achieved varying levels of yielding of soybean in the studied farms where it was significantly lower in 2015, which resulted in a decrease in the relatively high income and profitability of cultivation of soybean against rapeseed. Low competitiveness of soybeans in relation to rapeseed in the period of shortages of water during the growing season, can be justified by the possibility of using soybean as the crops binding nitrogen and constituting the ecological focus area, which is a part of greening of CAP.
