Roczniki (Annals), 2017, vol. 2016, issue 5

Abstract: The aim of this dissertation was to analyze and evaluate the functioning of farms in which agri-environmental program has been implemented. Field studies were carried out in 2015 in the Ostróda district and and covered the 62 beneficiaries of the program. Studies have shown that the agri-environmental program was implemented primarily in relatively large households (with an area exceeding the average in the country and in the Warmia and Mazury voivodeship). Farmers joining the program in most guided by financial issues. Only a few declared that importance was also protection of the environment. To the most popular packages were „Soil and water protection” and ,,Sustainable Agriculture”. In this case, the most significant were the economic considerations including the relative ease of implementation of the required measures. None of the farms were not conducted research on the environmental effects of the program.
