Abstract: The aim of the study is to show the importance of farms with an area of 100 ha and more in Polish agriculture. On the basis of statistical data indicated that the share of households in the total number of farms has changed slightly (less than 1%), while they are managing more than 1/5 of the area used for agriculture. Farmers with large holdings showed significant activity in terms of implementation of modern solutions and the use of advisory services. In 2013, nearly 70% of farmers, large farms declared the use of support under the PROW, and 65% of households indicated the use of the advice of professionals, including 55.4% for the protection of plants and fertilization 40.2% and 28.8% possibilities using PROW.
