Abstract:
The aim of study was to assessment of sustainability degree of specialty dairy farms. Using the synthetic farm sustainability index determined the degree of sustainability of dairy farms. The assessment indicates that farms of south-eastern Polish region range of different criteria (social, environmental and economic) achieved an average degree of sustainability, while degree of sustainability in farms of north-eastern Polish region was high. Based on the results, it was found that on farms in the Podkarpacie region has been disrupted implementation of the objectives of income equalization, and thus the living conditions of the rural population.
