THE FUNCTIONING OF A MOTIVATIONAL SYSTEM IN INSURANCE COMPANIES BASED ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE PZU GROUP INSURANCE COMPANIES

Abstract: The article examines the issue of motivation presented in theory and in practice using the example of the PZU Group, the big capital group dominated by insurance organizations. The discussion presents the characteristics of PZU Group and its environment as well as Poland’s economic situation. Moreover, both the new and the previous motivational system have been shown and assessed. The original research is based on the answers of 87 respondents who completed questionnaires considering job satisfaction, job atmosphere, financial conditions, employee’s engagement in company issues, self-improvement, features and criteria of the new motivational system and other factors motivating employees.
