Abstract:
: The use and development of renewable energy sources is one of the basic issues in the Poland’s Energy Policy until 2030. It is planned that the renewable energy technologies should constitute 25.4% of the overall power capacity in 2020. Solid biomass dominates in the structure of the production of renewable energy, whereas biofuels and solar energy constitute a fraction of one percent. The analysis of the dynamics of changes in the consumption of energy indicates the constant use of electricity, and a decreasing energy intensities GDP. The production of electricity based on renewable energy is increasing dynamically (indicated by the exponential form of the trend line) and the short-term forecast has a small error of predication – below 15%.
