Abstract: The aim of this article was to define the essence, scope and goal of clusters in the agri-food sector, in the context of its internationalization. The characteristic of the internationalization of Polish food economy as well clusters activities were presented. The results indicated the significant potential of clusters initiatives in the implementetion of quality-orientated, international strategies in polish agri-food sector. / Synopsis. Celem artykułu było określenie istoty, zakresu oraz celu funkcjonowania klastrów w sektorze rolno-spożywczym, w kontekście jego internacjonalizacji. Przedstawiono charakterystykę umiędzynarodowienia polskiej gospodarki żywnościowej oraz działalność klastrów w tym sektorze. Wyniki badania wskazały na istotny potencjał inicjatyw klastrowych we wdrażaniu projakościowych strategii internacjonalizacji polskiego sektora rolno-spożywczego.
