Abstract: The aim of this research was a presentation of the financial liquidity in the sector of agricultural farms in Poland and a comparison to these in the European Union. Data from the FADN database was mainly used. It enabled an analysis of the problem by country in the European Union in years 2004-2009 and by sections of economic size, type of farm and conditions of agricultural production. A research for the Polish FADN regions was also made. / Synopsis. Celem badania było przedstawienie płynności finansowej w sektorze gospodarstw rolnych w Polsce na tle gospodarstw w Unii Europejskiej. Wykorzystano w nim głównie dane statystyczne z bazy FADN, które umożliwiły analizę zjawiska według krajów Unii Europejskiej w latach 2004-2009 oraz w układach według: wielkości ekonomicznej, typu rolniczego i warunków produkcji. Wykonano również badanie dla polskich regionów FADN.
