Abstract: The study is an attempt to define the role of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in the Polish foreign agri-food trade and to examine the competitive position of agri-food products made in Poland in the markets of the CIS group of states in 2000-2009. A deliberately selected set of ex post indicators of the competitive position were used in the paper. / Synopsis. Artykuł wskazuje na rolę krajów Wspólnoty Niepodległych Państw w polskim handlu zagranicznym artykułami rolno-spożywczymi oraz prezentuje wyniki analizy pozycji konkurencyjnej artykułów rolno-żywnościowych wytwarzanych w Polsce na rynkach WNP w latach 2000-2009. W opracowaniu wykorzystano celowo dobrany zestaw ilościowych mierników międzynarodowej pozycji konkurencyjnej ex post.
