Stanowisko Unii Europejskiej w negocjacjach rolnych WTO i jego implikacje dla Wspólnej Polityki Rolnej

Abstract: One of the major problems in the ongoing trade negotiations within the WTO is trade in agricultural products. In the case of the European Union, due to the significant level of protectionism in agriculture, an adoption of the WTO liberalization commitments in this area will mean a reform of the Common Agricultural Policy. At the moment, due to a lack of completion of the Doha negotiations round, it is difficult to predict trends in this policy. It is already generally recognized that the positive conclusion of the negotiations will increase the degree of opening of the EU market for agricultural products from third countries and reduce export subsidies. / Synopsis. Jednym z głównych problemów w ramach trwających obecnie negocjacji handlowych na forum Światowej Organizacji Handlu jest handel rolny. W przypadku Unii Europejskiej, z uwagi na znaczący poziom protekcjonizmu w rolnictwie, przyjęcie w ramach WTO zobowiązań liberalizujących wymianę w tym obszarze oznacza reformę wspólnej polityki rolnej. W chwili obecnej, z uwagi na brak zakończenia rokowań rundy Doha, trudno przewidzieć kierunki zmian w ramach tej polityki. Już teraz można jednak stwierdzić, iż pozytywne zakończenie rokowań przyczyni się do zwiększenia stopnia otwarcia rynku UE na produkty rolne z państw trzecich oraz do redukcji subsydiów eksportowych.
