Wpływ integracji Polski z Unią Europejską na zmiany w podejściu do zapewnienia jakości produktów żywnościowych

Abstract: The main goal of the EU food safety policy is to ensure human life protection on the highest possible level. In the present stage of Polish economy development, the major problem is an improvement of competitiveness. After Poland’s accession to the European Union, entrepreneurs had to decide ways of their further economic activities. Although the integration brought great opportunities, there were also numerous problems and fears connected with the fact. In this connection the issue of competitiveness, especially within agribusiness enterprises, is an extremely important aspect of Polish economic development. However, there are many economic as well as non-economic factors deciding on the ability of competitiveness enhancement in particular branches of economy. Moreover, methods that have been based on cost and price relations are no longer effective enough, so that entrepreneurs have to search for more successful methods and tools to gain long-lasting advantages over their market competitors. Both theory and practise prove that nowadays the widely understood quality supported by implementation of certified quality management systems’ rules can be such a factor. / Synopsis. Główny cel polityki UE w zakresie bezpieczeństwa żywności to zapewnienie jak najwyższego stopnia ochrony zdrowia konsumenta. Na obecnym etapie rozwoju polskiej gospodarki głównym jej problemem jest poprawa konkurencyjności. Wejście naszego kraju do Unii Europejskiej, postawiło wiele przedsiębiorstw przed koniecznością wyboru drogi ich dalszego funkcjonowania. Wraz z wielkimi nadziejami, jakie niosła integracja pojawiło się również wiele problemów i obaw związanych z tym faktem. Kwestia konkurencyjności szczególnie wśród przedsiębiorstw agrobiznesu jest niezmiernie ważnym aspektem rozwoju polskiej gospodarki. O zdolności do poprawy konkurencyjności danej dziedziny decyduje wiele czynników, zarówno o charakterze ekonomicznym jak i pozaekonomicznym. Teoria i praktyka dowodzą, że w obecnej dobie jednym z czynników może być szeroko pojęta jakość, poparta wdrażaniem systemów zarządzania jakością.
