Abstract: This article presents horse racing as a part of the world economy, forming a specific system of entities, including international organizations, state institutions and subcontractors. It generates various types of relationships and flows, with an increasing level of internationalization. It indicates the horse racing importance for national economies and for the system of international business. / Synopis. Artykuł przedstawia wyścigi konne jako element gospodarki światowej, w ramach której tworzą specyficzny układ podmiotów, obejmujący organizacje międzynarodowe, instytucje państwa oraz licznych kooperantów. Generowane przez nie różnego typu relacje i przepływy, o rosnącym stopniu internacjonalizacji, wskazują na ich znaczenie w ramach poszczególnych gospodarek narodowych oraz w systemie biznesu międzynarodowego.
