Abstract: The aim of the paper is an attempt to assess the economic and organisational situation of the Polish cooperative banking group against the background of the selected cooperative banking groups and systems, associated with the European Association of Co-operative Banks (EACB), which is the largest European organization of the type. The analysis was realized basing on data published by the EACB for years 2005-2007. / Synopsis. Celem opracowania jest próba oceny sytuacji ekonomiczno-organizacyjnej polskiej spółdzielczości bankowej na tle wybranych spółdzielczych grup i systemów bankowych, stowarzyszonych w Europejskim Związku Banków Spółdzielczych (EACB), który jest największą europejską tego typu organizacją. Analizę przeprowadzono w oparciu o dane opublikowane przez EACB za lata 2005-2007.
