Abstract: The paper discusses Polish farmers' needs in the scope of different forms of institutional support under the circumstances of new opportunities for agriculture after Polish accession to the European Union. Spatial range of investigations covers a macro-region with small scale farming. Analysis concern this forms of support as well as institutions which, in farmers opinion, can effectively contribute to transformation and development of farms. / Synopsis. W opracowaniu dokonano charakterystyki potrzeb rolników w zakresie różnych form wsparcia gospodarstw rolnych ze strony otoczenia instytucjonalnego w nowych uwarunkowaniach dla rolnictwa, jakie wynikają z członkostwa Polski w Unii Europejskiej. Zakres przestrzenny badań obejmuje makroregion rolnictwa rozdrobnionego. Analizie poddano te formy wsparcia oraz instytucje, które zdaniem rolników mogą najskuteczniej przyczynić się do przekształceń i rozwoju gospodarstw.
