Zmiany w specjalizacji gospodarstw starych i nowych krajów członkowskich UE

Abstract: The study covered the period 2004-2012, using as the research units 867 average farms representing 116 regions divided into the old and the new ones, according to whether the country to which they belong was a member of the EU before or after 2004. The research was based on the data from the European FADN system, looking for an answer to the question whether after the enlargement of the EU the structure of farms has been improved by increasing the specialization level and whether this process is more intensive in farms from the new regions compared to the farms from old ones. The results show a clear decrease of labor in units from new regions, faster than in units from old ones. In addition there are signs of progressive specialization, but also a significant increase of production value in units from the old regions, in the absence of a clear trend in units from the new regions. / Synopsis. W przeprowadzonym badaniu, obejmującym okres 2004-2012, za obiekty badawcze przyjęto 867 przeciętne gospodarstwa reprezentujące 116 regionów podzielonych na stare i nowe, w zależności w tego czy kraj macierzysty był członkiem UE przed czy dopiero po roku 2004. Badania oparto na danych pochodzących z europejskiego systemu FADN. W pracy podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie: czy po rozszerzeniu UE nastąpiła poprawa struktury gospodarstw rolnych poprzez większą ich specjalizację oraz czy ten proces jest bardziej intensywny w gospodarstwach z nowych regionów w porównaniu z gospodarstwami z regionów starych. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na wyraźny spadek nakładów pracy w gospodarstwach z regionów nowych, szybszy niż w gospodarstwach z regionów starych. Ponadto odnotowano oznaki postępującej specjalizacji, ale też wyraźny wzrost wielkości produkcji w gospodarstwach z regionów starych, przy braku jasnej tendencji w regionach nowych.
