Abstract: Turkey is Poland’s main trading partner from Asia and the Middle East. From 2006-2014 the balance of Polish foreign trade in fruits, vegetables and their derivatives with Turkey was negative. The author undertakes an attempt to assess the situation and outlook of Polish trade in fresh and processed fruits and vegetables with Turkey, with particular focus on the situation and development possibilities of the Turkish horticultural sector on the path to EU accession. / Synopsis. Turcja jest głównym partnerem handlowym Polski z rejonu Bliskiego Wschodu i Azji. Saldo handlu zagranicznego owocami, warzywami i ich przetworami pomiędzy Polską i Turcją w latach 2006-2014 było ujemne. Autor podejmuje próbę oceny stanu i perspektyw rozwoju krajowego handlu owocami, warzywami i ich przetworami z Turcją. Szczególną uwagę poświęca sytuacji i możliwościom rozwoju tureckiego sektora ogrodniczego w trakcie dążenia tego kraju do członkostwa w UE.
