Abstract: The article discusses the issues of risk existing on the agricultural market in the context of globalization processes. It focuses on production risk which directly affects agricultural producers and also indirectly touches consumers of agricultural and food products. The paper aims to indicate significant legal market instruments which may reduce the risk or mitigate its negative effects. It also determines the role of an employer and market participants themselves in shaping the agricultural market and securing their revenues. The paper is based on a dogmatic analysis of normative texts and a descriptive method. It also refers to Polish and foreign books on the subject. /Synopsis. W artykule przedstawiono problematykę związaną z występującym na rynku rolnym ryzykiem w aspekcie procesów globalizacji. Chodzi tu o ryzyko produkcyjne, którego skutki odczuwają bezpośrednio producenci rolni, a pośrednio konsumenci produktów rolno-spożywczych. Celem artykułu jest wskazanie istotnych prawnych instrumentów rynkowych, których zastosowanie może ograniczać występowanie ryzyka, bądź minimalizować jego negatywne skutki. Artykuł zmierza do określenia roli prawodawcy, jak i samych uczestników rynku rolnego, zarówno w kształtowaniu jego organizacji, jak i zabezpieczaniu ich dochodów. W pracy zastosowano dogmatyczną metodę analizy aktów prawnych oraz metodę deskryptywną. Ponadto wykorzystano polską oraz zagraniczną literaturę przedmiotu.
