Abstract:
New provisions for improved management of price and market policy, implementation of supplementary programs of alleged supply control, and procurement of additional financial resources have. during the last 12 months, deeply affected EC agricultural policy. The present policy is briefly reviewed, highlighting these developments and suggesting likely consequences. The state of information being 1 May 1988, the latest revision of EC agricultural prices (1988-89 marketing year) is dealt with on the basis of the first draft of the Commission's annual price package.
