Abstract: Topical information is given on the development and management of major EC agricultural markets on the farm price decisions for the coming year and on the consequences of recent changes in the Common Agricultural Policy. The compromise between the EC and the US which may lead to a solution to the ongoing GAIT negotiations is discussed. and the problems in implementing the new agrimonetary regime are considered.
