Abstract:
In order to identify the factors that influence innovation and efficiency of the production units of dual purpose cattle in the state of Veracruz, information from 91 farms participating in a program of technical assistance was integrated. The information captured was: use of 17 technological components and milk production per cow; socio-economic information was also collected. An analysis of variance for the identification of factors was applied. It was found that scholar level, years of technical support and years of experience of the technical advisor were the main factors determining the innovation and the productivity of the farms studied.
