Abstract: Milk production in the Central Valleys of Oaxaca, specifically in Etla and Zimatlán, has been threatened by different factors, on the one hand, the introduction of milk and milk formulas from other states, that compete directly on local product prices, for another the sale of finished products (cheese and “quesillo”) sold at extremely low prices, leaving producers and processors at a disadvantaged, however, there are still area with great potential for milk production such as the localities of San Pablo Huixtepec, Santa Cruz Mixtepec and La Ciénega Zimatlán. But their growth has been slowed by intermediarism, lack of training, poor infrastructure for primary production, lack of financing, processing and marketing, which has discouraged producers from organizing the production chain. This is why the purpose of this research carried out in the year 2015 was to present an analysis of the Bovine Milk production chain using the cluster model, the results obtained showed that the level of clustering was low (2.84) as it is affected by economies of specialization and differentiation, while competitiveness was found at a medium level (3.37) mainly affected by performance and costs.
