Abstract:
Technology is an important tool to increase a company’s performance. Although there is literature related to the adoption of technology in dairy agribusinesses, information regarding the adoption and use of Apps for herd management is scarce. The objective was to explore the factors associated with the adoption of Apps in a sample of dairy agribusinesses. A structural analysis was conducted to evaluate the relationship between internal and external variables of the dairy agribusiness and the process of adoption, appropriation and use of Apps for herd management. The adoption of Apps in dairy herds can be explained by two constructs: Internal motivational factor and external motivational factor, where productivity improvement and receiving technical advice are the variables with the greatest impact.
