The Role of the National Bank of Serbia in Achieving Monetary Stability

Abstract:
The aim of this research is understanding role of the National bank of Serbia in maintaining monetary stability. Monetary stability means the achievement of low and stable inflation rate. Through the instruments of monetary policy, the central bank seeks to achieve the inflation target, in order to save macroeconomic stability. The National bank of Serbia works proceeding from the fundamental determinants of the increase in the general price level in Serbia. Due to the highest inflation rates in the region, it is necessary to constantly review the role of the National bank of Serbia in regulating this disorder.
