Predrag Niic

Ekonomika, Journal for Economic Theory and Practice and Social Issues, 2010, vol. 56, issue 3

Abstract: Human resource management affirms importance of employees as a source of great potentials. Therefore, human resource management actualizes enhancement and development of the employees’ capacities. The employees work in more complex conditions, hence, it is certain that mistakes in work will always appear. Mistakes happen in the best organizations, too. Whether mistakes will happen and what mechanisms will prevent their appearance depend on the manner that we plan and manage employees’ mistakes, while taking into consideration intensity of consequences that mistakes may have on organization. Human resource management is expected to consider importance of mistake in the process of attraction, obtainment and selection of candidates, but also in creating new organizational values in process of the personnel socialization, training and improvement, as well as nature of influence that mistakes have on overall organizational behavior.
