Toward New Teacher Competencies

Abstract: The complexity and responsibility of the teaching profession, its importance for the development of society and every individual are reflected in every society that its development is based on the quality of education. In light of this work is aimed at emphasizing the importance of continuous professional development of teachers and acquire new skills by the same. The paper contains a review of necessary teacher competencies defined by various competent international organizations and expert groups dealing with this issue. Further operational skills displayed and their installation in the system contributed to the professional development of teachers would have to remove some shortcomings in the current preparation of teachers and thus improve the professional development of teachers.
