Analysis of Knowledge and Skills of Entrepreneurs in Conditions of New Way of Doing Business

Abstract:
To achieve competitive advantage for company in contemporary business, it is necessary to develop an entrepreneurial spirit. People with their knowledge and skills are the main carriers of entrepreneurial ideas and innovations. Primary research on a sample of 433 respondents had goal to determine the level of knowledge about entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial characteristics in sample, where we tried to get information about the interdependence of knowledge and entrepreneurial characteristics in relation to gender, age, education level and work experience. The results showed that there is no sufficient level of knowledge of respondents about entrepreneurship, and work experience affect on knowledge about necessity of certain entrepreneurial activities in the business. Respondents showed entrepreneurial characteristics in terms of take over risk, innovation in business , listening other ideas and perseverance in their own ideas. But do not show the entrepreneurial character in terms of listening to customers’ requests and resolving problems when they arise.
