In that time, the level of Romanian social-economic development had a need for financial support, which should have provided continuity in modernization and reorganization of agricultural production, as well as those sectors which have provided agrarian inputs. This paper shows a research which has analyzed productive potentials and realized results in Romanian agriculture in period 1989-2002, in regard to Central and East Europe (CEE) countries and the European Union (EU). Accordingly, the accent has been put on macroeconomic aspects, structure of agricultural husbandries and agrarian policy.
