Regional production of grain crops in agricultural enterprises of Ukraine

Abstract: The purpose of the article is to calculate the growth of grain crops production by increasing the yield of wheat, barley and corn in agricultural enterprises, by determining the payback of additional costs by increasing the value of these crops, which will also affect the augmentation of gross collections of all grain crops, as in agricultural enterprises, so in all categories of farms. Research methodology. In the research process the following methods have been used: abstract and logical, empirical, factor analysis, forecasting and development, usage of the experience of enterprises with higher yields indicators in the activity of enterprises with lower yields. Research results. The rankings of the regions according to the indicators of yield of wheat, barley and corn in agricultural enterprises have been determined in relation to the average indicators in Ukraine. There’ve been calculated possibilities of grain yield increase in agricultural enterprises of regions with a yield index of wheat, barley and corn lower than the average in Ukraine. It indicates the potential of increasing the gross volume of grain to 72.4 million tons against the actual received in 2016 66.1 million tons. Moreover from the increase in the productivity of these crops in agricultural enterprises of all regions with lower, and with higher yields of these crops, the gross volume of grain can grow up to 77.1 million tons. Elements of scientific novelty. The increase in crop yield and expenditure costs per hectare of grain crops in agricultural enterprises has been determined not by an example of the best indicators in the agricultural enterprises of the regions, but taking into account the results of activity of those farms where these indicators are approximate and increasing. It’s reflected in the groups of enterprises in terms of productivity of the studied crops. Practical significance. The worked out method can be applied in all regions of Ukraine on relation to the ratio of yield indicators in administrative regions to regional indicators, to ensure yield growth in agricultural enterprises in administrative districts. It also makes possible to increase yields by increasing costs. The application of the developed method ensures an increase in the production of grain and within the double payback of additional costs. Tabl.: 6. Refs.: 19.
