Development of family farms in region

Abstract: The purpose of the article is to study the current state of farms in Zakarpattia region of Ukraine in order to prove their leading role in agricultural production, as well as to determine directions for formation and development of family farms. Research methods. In the process of research, the following methods were used: abstract and logical (for determining an essence, generalization of activity indicators of farms in Zakarpattia region); monographic (for studying financial performance indicators of farms); statistical and economic (for determining effectiveness of resource use); comparative analysis (for analysis of production activity). Research results. The article substantiates a role of farms in rural development at the present stage of European integration processes. Theoretical bases of concepts “farm” and “family farm” were investigated. Prospects for formation of Ukrainian family farms were outlined. Model of a leader of a family farm was proposed. Elements of scientific novelty. For the first time formation of family farms in Zakarpattia region was considered. A number of measures were proposed for development of a balanced model of family farms. In particular, measures of state support of family farms in the region. Practical significance. A number of measures were proposed for development of a balanced model of family farm management as an individual. Financial analysis of the study of farms of the region was carried out. It was proved that in practice, farming in terms of the European integration has acquired a qualitatively new content and is a basis for rural development and welfare of rural population. Tabl.: 5.
