Comportamiento del consumidor en la compra de carne de cordero con IGP-Ternasco de Aragon

Abstract:
El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar el comportamiento del consumidor argones en la compra de carne de cordero con IGP-Ternasco de Aragon. Para ello se han utilizado datos de una encuesta sobre actitudes y habitos de compra de carne de cordero efectuada en Aragon en 2001. Los resultados del trabajo indican que una actidad positiva de los consumidores hacia la carne de cordero con IGP es el aspecto clase en la decision de compra de este tipo carne de cordero en Aragon ya que no solo conduce a un mayor numero de consumidores potenciales sino que induce a un mayor consumo relative. Ademas, lost potenciales consumidores de carne de cordeo con IGP son aquellos que pertenecen a hogares sin hijos menores de 6 anos, de mayor tamano, queviven en nucleos urbanos y en los que la mujer es la responsable de la compra de alimentos en el hogar. Se trata de personas mas preocupadas e involucradas con la alimentacion que intentan swguir una vida mas sana y que en el momento de comprar carnes valoran mas el etiquetado, la garantia y el que posea EGP...The aim of this work is analyze purchasing consumer behavior towards Protected Geographical Indication PGI lamb meat. Data comes from a survey on consumption and attitudes towards lamb meat conducted in Aragon (Spain) in 2001. Resultsindicate that a positive attitude towards the product is the main factor explaining the purchasing behaviour for PGI lamb meat in Aragon because it indicates not only new consumers to buy the products but also, to increase its purchase by those consumers that already buy the product. In addition, new consumers of this product are those who have no kids, with larger size households, who live in urban areas and are mainly women. They are more concerned and involved with food, try to follow a healthy diet and when purchasing meat, they give higher importance to labeling, guarantee and PGI.
