In this paper a methodology, similar to traditional input-output analysis, is constructed in order to study the trade-demand to balance of tomato in the European Union; also a coefficient of re-export is constructed to analyse the resale trade. The application of this methodology to the problem of interpretation of the interaction between these variables provides a clear way of quantification and classification of countries according their predominant characteristics. In this respect, the axis that supports the current balance is based on the support of the Spanish and Dutch production, the redistribution Dutch system and the increase of German consumption.
