We develop some aspects, not always in the center of discussions, of the current debate on biofuels: the relevance of the by-products for the animal feed industry; the fact that word cereal prices should cover production costs in the main world producing regions; some indirect environmental impacts; the role of the Mandate and the need for greater flexibility;. We ended with some European comments, including what could be one of the missed occasion of the recently approved CAP reform.
