Abstract:
One of the fairly large corn producing villages in Batulappa District, Pinrang Regency which has great potential in developing production is corn. Even though they are in a mountainous area, farmers are able to obtain abundant harvests, and the average source of income for the two farmers in Batulappa Village is corn. Therefore, researchers are interested in studying the influence of the rainy season on the determinants of farming production in Batulappa District, Pinrang Regency. This study aims to identify the factors that influence the production of hybrid corn and identify the level of elasticity of production factors in hybrid corn farming. The type of data used is quantitative research using a descriptive approach. The sample is 40 people taken from 200 x 20% using the purposive method (deliberately). Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the production factors that have a significant effect on maize farming are seed, pesticides, labor and planting season (D1) and the coefficient value of Planting Season I (DI) on maize is obtained by variable coefficients. Planting Season I (DI) was 2.743993 and a probability value of 0.0589 with a 90% confidence level. This indicates that the first planting season was significantly significant for maize. The higher a place is, the intensity of the rainfall produced will be higher. There are several factors that influence rainfall, both on a global, regional, and local scale.
