Abstract: The most complete realization of the export potential of the Russian forest industry on the world market provides for the implementation of a strategic scenario for the development of the industry. The article analyzes the reality of achieving forecast indicators of priority areas for non&resource export of forest products. To stimulate investment in timber production, the authors proposed the use of a special investment contract mechanism, which has already found application in other sectors of Russian industry.
