Abstract: An important direction of state social-economic policy to reduce unemployment is to support the development of self-employment and entrepreneurial activity of citizens, which includes, along with information and legal assistance, training in the basics of business and the payment of the subsidy when starting their own business. Bodies of state power of Krasnodar region and local authorities conducted a joint targeted work with the aim of creating favourable conditions for the development of self-employment in the Kuban.
