On the issue of self-regulation of the financial markets

Abstract: The article considers the main provisions of the new draft of the project «On self-regulatory organizations on the financial markets» in terms of the basic concept of self-regulation, the existing approaches to the regulation of economic activity and the peculiarities of the Russian insurance market, including segment of insurance brokers. Its suggests ways of elaborating the draft in order to convert it into an instrument of the development of the financial sector.
