Abstract: This article is devoted to the innovative direction of the development of the energy sector. The article considers the main tasks of innovative policy of Russia in the nearest future. Reveals the need and importance of creation of modern innovative system for the energy sector. Studied and analyzed foreign experience of introduction of technological and managerial innovations. Formulated the possible results of introduction of programs of innovative development in the Russian power companies.
