Abstract:
This work analyses the sugar agro-industry of the State of Mexico, during the first haft of nineteenth century from three main issues: the production of sugar, cane rum and sugar-cane syrup; their markets and the commercial networks. Related to these issues, the article realizes a contribution of the general discussion on the operation of Mexican economy in this period, showing a regional differential activity.
