Abstract: In order to achieve a competitive advantage, a company has to rapidly identify market opportunities and take advantage of these opportunities in a rapid and efficient manner. More and more companies realize that having large amount of data does not imply a better understanding of the market or of the improvement of the operational performances. Business intelligence (BI) is a common word in today's IT world. Yet, is a concept that not everybody understands. And many questions regarding the nature of this concept are rising.
