INVESTMENT DECISIONS – AREAS AND PRIORITIES SET FOR ROMANIAN CRISIS

Abstract:
Persistent crisis and pressing social and environmental challenges highlight once again the vital role of investment activity. A new concept about “New generation of investment policies” treats inclusive growth and sustainable development based on efforts to attract and benefit from investment. After joining the European Union, Romania has established a number of investment projects according to EU funding, which also set certain targets for economic and social development. This article discuss about mobilizing investment to sustainable development objectives and the evolution of investment decisions, in terms of areas and priorities set by the World Bank for Romanian crisis: Sustainable Development; Human Development; Public Sector Reform; Private sector development. The conclusion of this article refers to the fact that the development and effectiveness of economic policies depends on a combination of dynamic rules, actions, resources, incentives that involve the public and private sector, the civil society on an area extended internationally.
