Abstract:
In preparing this study, we started from the idea that the assessment and sizing performance of a national economy is a very complex and difficult process due to multiple issues, phenomena and processes that must be considered - some of them less suitable for rigorous quantification. In the latter category falls and unemployment. For this reason, we wanted to highlight a number of links between the forms and causes of unemployment, on the one hand, and national economic performance, on the other hand, through the various theories in the field, and to formulate a number of considerations on the effectiveness and appropriateness of different types of policies to combat unemployment. Full employment in the economic sense, must be a top priority goal of the modern economy in a democratic society based on the rule of law.
