Abstract:
The concept of sustainable development is founded on the idea that any development process must be focused on human purpose and must allow the expanding of the range of choices that any individual can make in order to satisfy ones many necessities. There fore, starting from the main factors which condition the development - population, resources and environment, agricultural production, industrial production and pollution - the strategic vision of sustainable development aims to find, in each country and worldwide, the most appropriate criteria for optimizing the ratio between the needs, the resources, the goals to achieve, the necessary means, based on their mutual compatibility.
