Revista Tinerilor Economisti (The Young Economists Journal), 2010, vol. 1, issue 14S, 33-38

Abstract: The Romanian banking system is on the edge of becoming a mature one. The crisis could be the opportunity to make the final transformation. Even if the last year represented a decrease of its profitability, the chance to be closer to the Western banking systems is still on the horizon. The main problem for the Romanian banks is the government’s and central bank’s strategic vision. For 2010, the official statement of reloading the economic growth is influenced by the forecast based on Governor’s opinion regarding massive capital inflows.
