Abstract:
Objectives: The development of computer technologies, information systems, and the Internet creates fundamentally and qualitatively new opportunities for independent control of the state of the body and human health, including in-home, household, and everyday conditions. Health monitoring processes' new possibilities and realities require appropriate study, analysis, and understanding. Methods/Approach: The paper aimed to study the various aspects of self-tracking, as trends in the active use of various technological gadgets for self-monitoring, as well as the attitude of young people to digitalization, computerization of medicine, and the use of electronic medical gadgets, smartphones, Internet resources for self-control of the health. The methods of search, analysis, and generalization of relevant scientific publications, as well as a survey of young users of fitness devices, were applied. Results: Features, advantages, disadvantages, and prospects of self-tracking as a social phenomenon in health care have been given, and features of youth perception of digital medicine and gadgets for health monitoring have been established. Self-monitoring is becoming a strong trend in preventing a healthy lifestyle and control of the body in a digital revolution and comprehensive computerization of society.
