Abstract: With the development of China's economy and the rapid advancement of technology, the demand for well-rounded employees is growing stronger. Due to the intense competitive pressures of contemporary society, many knowledge workers face role stress and burnout. This can lead to a decline in employee performance and a sense of belonging to the organization, and even lead to turnover, which can have significant negative consequences for the company. Emotional intelligence (EI) has a significant impact on employee work enthusiasm, performance, satisfaction, and work engagement. Organizational commitment, reflecting an individual's attitude and positive attitude toward the organization, plays a significant role in influencing employee burnout and engagement. This paper, based on research on employee emotional intelligence and organizational commitment in China, investigates the relationship between emotional intelligence, organizational commitment, and employee performance among employees from various industries. The mediating effect of EI on employee performance is analyzed using various performance parameters, dependent variables, and independent variables. Using a statistical software package for social sciences, the impact of EI on the behavioral, social, and psychological outcomes of employees in this organization is assessed.
