Abstract:
This paper analyzes some of the main characteristics of the Mexican industrial process from 1940 to the end of the 20th century. The intention is to show the general trends, the scope, limits and contradictions that accompanied the period of greatest industrial development in Mexico, as well as the relevant particularities of its development and transformation throughout these decades, those aspects that promoted it and others that stopped it. To achieve these objectives, a historiographic review is carried out, where both authors from the period studied and others from present day are examined. Likewise, a brief hemerographic and statistical analysis is carried out, which shows these guidelines and points out part of their problems.
