Abstract: On October 15, 2015 the Annual conference in memory of Professor S.N. Bratusius was held at the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Jurisprudence under the Government of the Russian Federation. The Tenth international scientific and practical conference was dedicated to the modern challenges of Law and Economic Activity. Representatives of legislative and executive authorities, practicing experts from the business sphere and foreign jurists discussed shortcomings of the Part IV of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. The list of the most critical issues includes collective management of intellectual property rights, the blance between administrative and judicial procedures and the balamce between civil law and public law liability for intellectual property violations
