Abstract:
The authors identify and demonstrate the importance of addressing the issues in the transport and logistics of foreign economic relations in Russia. These problems are particularly acute for exporters of small and medium businesses that supply non-primary goods overseas. The authors assess the state of the Russian market of international freight forwarding and transport and logistics services, evaluate the level of institutional cooperation between exporters and providers of international transport and logistics services. They also show the feasibility of the transport mediation in the performance of foreign trade transactions. The authors provide examples of the successful functioning of international transport and logistics systems abroad.
